Armed Special Security Officer (BWI)
Job Description
The FAA Security Officer position at the FAA post is responsible for providing security and to safeguard FAA employees, facilities, Government property and assets from loss, theft, damage, unauthorized use, criminal acts, espionage, sabotage and terrorism.
Must possess a good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.

To qualify, applicants must :
- Be U.S. citizens, 21 or older;
- Have a minimum of three years security, law enforcement or military experience;
- Possess a high school diploma (or GED) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education;
- Current Maryland Guard Card and Firearms Permit
- Have reliable transportation; and
- Be able to satisfy a medical / drug examination
Candidates with prior military or law enforcement experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants will receive a competitive salary, paid training, paid holidays paid sick and vacation leave and company-provided uniforms / weapons.
